ARTICHOKE LAMP

Poul Henningsen’s most famous contribution to society today is the Artichoke Lamp, a spherical, plant-like form. Also known as the PH Lamp, it was created in 1925 and expressed his enthusiasm for “functionalism” and the “natural living” that he advocated so passionately. Poul's accomplished goal was the creation of the contemporary organic design of the artichoke lamp, functioning to diffuse the harsh elements of the electric interior hanging lamp. Another gorgeous case of form meets function. Modern and classic simultaneously, there’s no decorating scheme that this lamp won’t compliment.
