It is our ultra-comfortable twist on the chic 1956 Florence Knoll Armchair. Mid-century design updated with a comfortable seating posture & the original 'period' tufted details we all love. Beautifully upholstered in supple Full Grain Aniline Dyed Leather finished with natural oils and waxes - not paints and polymers. The frame is crafted from steel springs and solid hardwood. The foam is dense, durable, comfortable, and safe. The foam meets CA fire retardant requirements without the addition of chemicals.

Making the Icon

One of the most influential Mid-Century Modern icons of the 20th century. But not all furniture is made the same way. Our dedicated upholsterers keep the lines tailored, the upholstery taunts, and the curves even. Florence's squeak-free frame is solid wood, glued & screwed. Buttons are hand sewn. Cushions are individually fitted to the frame and generously filled. Florence is delivered with a limited lifetime warranty.
