Jørgen Hovelskov designed his Viking Chair in 1963 in Denmark. Later, the piece became known as the Harp Chair as many journalists writing about the chair were reminded more of the musical instrument than the lean bow of viking longboat. The chair is made from solid wood pieces (available in Ash or Walnut) which are connected by a hexagonal socket screw.
