MAKING THE ICON OF MID-MOD COFFEE TABLES
The G-plan Coffee Table features arching curves and exaggerated flowing lines combined with a see-through glass top. From above and through, the tempered glass top of the brilliant structure of the modernist base is in full view. The extraordinary design earned the piece of its iconic mid-century modern status. Kardiel’s reproduction of the iconic mid-century modern design is made in true form to the original. A modernist circular American Walnut top rim encases the full circular tempered glass. The base gently narrows and touches the ground at four points. From these ground points, the legs arch upward toward the inside and outside. G-plan is constructed from Solid American Walnut Hardwood which is carved and shaped to the exact curvature and dimension of the original. The wood is kiln-dried to prevent expansion, contraction, and separation. The wood surface is prepared smooth to the touch state with extensive fine sanding. Five coats of UV cured polyurethane finish seal the surface.
ABOUT AMERICAN WALNUT
Hold the stain. American Walnut has its own natural brown color tones. The natural wood presents lighter and darker tones within the various grains. It blends well with light or darker wood pieces.
